Practical guides to affiliate programs and AI-search content

Creators, affiliates, publishers, communities: which partners to recruit and how to pay each

The four partner types behave differently. What each one brings, what motivates them, and the commission and bounty mix that works for each.

One partner program can serve four kinds of partners, but they want different things. Treat them as one list and you will over-pay some and lose others.

Creators

Creators produce content on a schedule and judge offers by whether they fit a planned piece. Give them a topic that their audience already asks about, a bounty that pays for the time (commonly $25 to $150 per piece), and commission on the sales the piece drives. They will not fill in forms; make applying one click and the tracking link automatic.

Affiliates

Affiliates run pages that already rank for buyer intent and add products that convert. They want deep links to pricing or a specific feature page, a cookie window of at least 30 days, and a clear hold period. A personal coupon code helps them convert readers who leave to compare.

Publishers and media

Newsletters and industry sites sell placements at a fixed price. Negotiate that fee directly; a platform should track the sales and pay commission on top, but it should not sit in the middle of a media invoice.

Communities

A moderator or an active member of a relevant community can send surprisingly qualified traffic, but only when the recommendation is genuine. Pay a small bounty for an honest write-up and commission on sales; never provide scripts to post.

One account, several types

Many partners are two of these at once: a creator with a newsletter, an affiliate who moderates a forum. Let a partner declare several types and show each the tools that fit: content briefs to creators, link tools to affiliates.
